smART School

Posted on 16:00 by Unknown

Rebecca Guay, the brains behind the highly successful Illustration Master Class, is yet again redefining what art education can be.

For the past year or so, Rebecca has been conducting private online mentorships. The limited class size and intimate atmosphere provide the students with a lot of one on one time, and hand-tailored instruction. Those mentorships have also been met with immense success, prompting her to create a whole new program with an expanded roster of instructors.

This new program is called smART School, and boasts an impressive lineup of instructors, consisting of: Rebecca Guay, Donato Giancola, Eric Fortune, and Gregory Manchess.  Each class will will be limited to just 12 students, who get to choose which instructor they would like to study under for a period of 3 months. Enrollment also entitles each student to watch one other mentor's sessions as well!

Getting to study under these award-winning artists for a 3 month period is a pretty rare opportunity, as most do not teach at any University. Unlike a workshop, which may last just a week or so, these programs are about long-term progress. Rather than cramming what information they can into a few days, the instructor can watch the student grow, critiquing and adapting their instruction to meet the student's current needs.

Tomorrow, May 16th at 12:00pm EST, will mark the beginning of enrollment. If this goes anything like the IMC, you can expect registration to fill up very quickly.
